There is currently no Anahata Yoga Teacher Training on the 2024 Calendar. Instead I am offering my newest program: YAY, Yoga!! Beginning October 15th, 2024 and ending April 15th, 2025

Throughout the years I offered the Anahata Yoga Teacher Training program (2014-2024) I always received requests for a training that was as comprehensive as the AYTT but was geared for those who weren’t interested in becoming yoga teachers. I didn’t have the time to offer both options and sometimes students took the complete 200-hour program because there just weren’t any alternatives. Well, NOW there are!! I’m excited to offer a 60-hour online program that shares all the elements from the Anahata Yoga Teacher Training that are not specific to becoming a teacher. Elements such as language for teaching or how to sequence classes effectively are removed but the pieces on Yoga Philosophy (e.g. the koshas, 8 limbs of yoga, the yamas & niyamas), the Anatomy of Yoga Postures, Posture Breakdowns, Breathwork (pranayama), Mantra & Mudras remain. Just like in our complete teacher training program, students get to build yoga relationships, participate in independent research, journal and practice seva (volunteering). Besides the reduced time commitment, there is also a huge cost decrease. The AYTT program that I taught for ten years cost trainees over $3000. This new program that I’ve christened Yay, Yoga!! is $1100. And, if participants signup and prepay by October 1st, the cost is only $900 (a savings of $200). Another benefit over the in-person trainings that I’ve led over the years is the ability to record all the classes. Participants can miss class but still view the recordings (valid for 6 months). The on-line option also removes any travel concerns such as distance or weather.
If this is calling to you, even just a little bit, give me a call, text or private message me. I’d love to chat with you to see if this is something that you would enjoy. I know how beneficial to one’s life dedicating time and energy to yoga can be. I’ve been a yoga practitioner myself for over 30 years.

A combination of on-site & online training, self-study and reflection will prepare you for this opportunity to share your passion for yoga. Dozens of local teachers have graduated through this much-loved program, and we are excited to see where this training will lead YOU.

The name, Anahata, can be translated as the “energy of the heart.” This name was chosen to not only represent how we serve our community but also how we serve our students. The AYTT 200-hour program will offer you the tools you need to connect to the heart of who you are as a person and as a yoga teacher. One of the things that makes our program so special is the communal bonding you will experience while learning in a small, supportive loving group comprised of fellow trainees and our caring, compassionate training team.
Applicants are required to have at least one-year of yoga experience with a commitment to a personal yoga practice, a compassionate heart, and a genuine desire to take this transformational journey.
Even if you don’t see yourself as a yoga teacher, taking our training is a wonderful way to expand your yoga knowledge and deepen your practice. IF NOT NOW, WHEN???

Testimonials from our Graduates
This was an amazing program and you did a wonderful job planning and presenting the material. The class size was good and that was one of the reasons I selected the class because of its small size. The material was presented without bias. Students coming from varying backgrounds and areas of interest in yoga can benefit from this program as there is room to delve deeper into a specific area of interest through the flexible course readings and guest speakers.
The AYTT program gave me confidence that I can teach yoga. Gaining confidence is critical to being successful because this is not something you can really fake. I liked the way we progressed slowly in learning how to teach a class. This really helped.
I enjoyed the intensive study of yoga within my Self and sharing the experience with my classmates. I already miss the comfort of the group and the commitment to making my study a priority that being a part of the AYTT experience provided.
I loved everything about my training and while the theory and practices and tests, etc were important (obviously!) the conversations about EVERYTHING touched my soul
As a longtime walker on the spiritual path, I was looking for a ‘yogic experience’, transformation, a gentle progression, while honoring my body. At 57, I was a little apprehensive, I really did my homework looking for Yoga Teacher Training. I visited classes, until I found a school that taught yoga in the Kripalu tradition, and made an appointment to meet with Kathy, having discovered her studio on the Kripalu Website. She was friendly, serene, relaxed, comfortable and knowledgeable. I knew I was in the right place. I have so much gratitude for this training, for my teachers, my yoga sisters, for this yoga journey that is without destination. In this YTT you are taught foundational yoga poses, proper alignment, benefits, modifications, chakras, doshas, mantras and mudras, and so much more, along with learning to listen to your inner voice. You will learn to develop your own unique teaching style…to ‘take your seat’ as a teacher. This is an excellent yoga teacher training, my life has changed because of it, it has shaped me, softened my edges, helping me to be the yogini I want to be, and that’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it? I leave you with this quote, I don’t know where it came from… A yogini is a woman devoted to a life lived with totality of heart, with fierce truth, and compassion. Namaste’
